Meet the team behind PorterGoldberg Residential
Samantha Porter is a seasoned, relationship-based broker with Jameson Sotheby’s International Realty, starting her career in 1999 in Chicago. Growing up on the South Side (even if it really was the southwest suburbs), she attended the University of Nebraska – Lincoln and the University of Eastern Illinois, graduating with a degree in Business Marketing. Her travels through Europe, Asia, and the South Pacific enriched her character and outlook on life.
Samantha’s real estate journey began at a time when the market was thriving, and she has since navigated through buyer’s markets, the crash, rebound, and seller’s markets. Her experience is invaluable in positioning and pivoting in ever-changing climates.
Real estate allows Samantha to indulge in her passions for marketing, space planning, designing, and transformations. Partnering with Lauren to create PorterGoldberg was a career game-changer, committing to innovation and quality in both business and life.
Samantha married the same year she entered real estate. Her husband David, a trained carpenter in his home country, England, is owner and operator of Homescape Construction delivering high quality residential new homes, restorations and additions. Samantha and David have two children they are raising in Logan Square. They are active in the children’s school and sports, love to try new restaurants, go to shows, do the occasional run and support a range of local and national charities and causes.
Samantha and Lauren are Chicago natives, moms with two young children, and have husbands in construction. With kids in public and private schools, involvement in community, and a great knowledge of the real estate culture… they are a distinguishable resource.
Lauren Goldberg is a broker with Jameson Sotheby’s International Realty and co-founder of PorterGoldberg Residential, bringing a distinctive combination of real estate expertise, design knowledge, and deep Chicago market experience to her clients.
With a background in Design and Fine Arts and a BA from DePaul University, Lauren began her career in outside sales, serving as a Regional Manager throughout the Midwest. For five years, she represented leading appliance, cabinetry, kitchen and bath, and home material brands, gaining extensive knowledge of the products, finishes, construction details, and design decisions that go into creating a home.
Since entering real estate in 2008, Lauren has turned that experience into an invaluable resource for buyers, sellers, investors, and developers. Her trained eye allows her to see beyond the surface of a property, identifying potential, recognizing red flags, and helping clients understand where improvements can make the greatest impact. She specializes in luxury residential real estate, new construction and development, investment properties, and advising clients on renovations and improvements that can maximize value.
Joining Samantha Porter and forming PorterGoldberg Residential in 2018 was a true achievement.

Lauren has lived in Lincoln Park with her husband, Brian, and their two adorable daughters for many years and is deeply connected to the neighborhood and greater Chicago community. Their family also includes three much-loved dogs, fitting for Lauren, a lifelong animal lover. Whether someone needs insight into Chicago schools, a trusted contractor, advice on a renovation, a great restaurant recommendation, or an opinion on the perfect light fixture, Lauren has become a go-to resource for clients, friends, and family alike.
An animal lover, restaurant enthusiast, and passionate traveler, Lauren is a supporter of PAWS Chicago, Camp Out For Kids, & The Illinois Holocaust Museum & Education Center. Lauren is a member of the NAR, National Association of REALTORS®, Chicago Association of REALTORS®, and has been consistently awarded a Chicago Top Producer since 2011.
